Roger Bordage is 90 years old and the vice president of the International Sachsenhausen Committee.
He was born in Paris in 1925. He was arrested on the 10th of May 1943 as a member of the “Forces Francais Libres”. The “Forces Francais Libres“ were french troops who fought along with the Allies against the National Socialists.
After beeing arrested in France Roger Bordage was transported to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. In the camp he was forced to work in the “Heinkelwerk” and in the “Klinkerwerk”. Roger Bordage was liberated on the 3rd of May 1945 on the death march. On the death march he had to walk 40 km each day.
