Menachem Taub

Menachem Taub, from Israel, was born in 1934 in Stará Ľubovňa, Slovakia.
He was deported from Ravensbrück to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp in February 1945.

Together with his father he was sent to death march where his father died.

After the 2nd World War he searched for his mother who was deported to the Ravensbrück Concentration Camp. Unfortunately this search was not successful so he was brought up by his aunt.

Ingrid, Mareike and Nadja who work as guides at the Memorial were with Menachem Taub during the 70th Anniversary of Liberation.

“It was a marvelous encounter. Menachem made us lough once in a while with his sophisticated and amusing comments.”
